6 months!

Fiona is already 6 months old! In my mind there is a big difference between a 5 month old (an infant) and a 6 month old ( a BABY!). She is sitting up, giggling, getting our attention, and reaching for us. Love this stuff!

Second Children

When new parents only have one child, they wonder how they could possibly love another as much. Until, that is, they have a second child, and then there is no question!

The illustrious Sand and Water Table!

As a preschool teacher I have become very accustomed to sand and water tables. They are a great way for kids to get very messy in a very confined area, all the while learning math and science concepts and having tons of fun! It's hard to tell who is more excited about the table, me or Zoe!

Look at all that hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always forget how much hair Fiona has until I go out and inevitably someone will say, "Look at all that hair!" She has so much more hair than Zoe did! It's thick, with red and blonde highlights, and pretty curly. I hope it stays that way, though, no matter what she's adorable - but I might be a little biased:)

"Momma, I'm a Big Girl"

Though I've been kind of pushing it for about a year now, I think Zoe really is becoming a "Big Girl" in her own right. She has begun playing more independently, seeking out and asking for specific friends, requesting activities she likes, and initiating more conversations that others (besides me and Keith) can actually understand and take part in. It's so cool to see her personality continue to blossom and see her explore this crazy world we live in and figure it out for herself. I asked someone what I was going to do now that she was this whole new person and they suggested I get to know her all over again. I really like that idea...!

What could posibly be in here????

One day, Zoe kept bugging me to go in the kitchen with her and lift her up next to the fridge. Once I did, she coyly asked me to open the freezer door and then locked her puppy dog eyes with mine and said, "Popsicle please Mommy" in the cutest voice you ever heard. I couldn't imagine where she learned that until I caught her and her Daddy doing the same thing the other day! The funniest part is how innocent she plays it off!!!!
